I am Hannah and this is my dog Hilda, we live in Horbury, near Wakefield, in West Yorkshire.
I am a member of the Canine Massage Guild
Hilda and I compete at Agility, we were introduced to Canine Massage Therapy through a free muscle health check stand at an agility competition. That led me, initially, to a one-day pre & post event course through the Canine Massage Therapy Centre and eventually to the 2-year Practitioner Programme.
Previously I have worked as an Industrial Chemist and then as a UNIX/Linux Sys Admin but realised a few years ago that I needed a complete career change as sitting at a computer for 8 hours a day wasn’t any good for my eyesight, physical or mental health.
I am now thoroughly enjoying the ability to fulfil my lifelong dream of working with animals by using these techniques to assist all ages, sizes, breeds and cross-breeds of dog in their recovery from muscular and soft tissue injuries, help manage their pain from orthopaedic conditions such as arthritis and elbow dysplasia and also to reduce levels of anxiety and nervousness.
My previous dog, Holly, had Canine Degenerative Myelopathy so I understand both your and your dogs struggles with this disease.
